Description
When Dubai-based LW Design Group approached Todd Stuart with their overall vision for the entrance to the ballroom of Hyatt, Kuwait, a close collaborative process ensued that resulted in a spectacular arrangement of elegant titanium-gold-tinted Mirror Flowers.
This intense collaborative activity involved both architects and designers, and saw what was initially a broadly articulated vision worked by Todd Stuart into a detailed and deliverable plan that set the scene for a seamless process.
The process involved the production of conceptual sketches and the creation of 3D sketch models that were scanned to progress the designs to photorealistic CAD visualisations. These visualisations were then refined into a perfected sculptural form that was ultimately crafted in three different but complimentary sizes.
As part of the production process, LW Design Group received a preliminary Marquette – an optional quality control measure for additional client assurance – an artwork in and of itself, that could then be presented to Hyatt, Kuwait’s management team.
Upon completion of construction, the works were shipped, delivered and installed on white marble flags beside a reflective wall feature that multiplied the gleaming ensemble to impressive effect.
An ideal way of working for those who want to be involved in development, but who are happy to leave management of creative projects to professionals in the field.
