How to acquire your own sculpture?

Frequently asked questions

How do I know I’ll love the custom sculpture you make for me?

By the time you commission a work from Mainartery, you’re typically fully committed to the
style and concepts behind the work. We don’t move from one stage to the next without
full approval. Our approach has consistently turned the occasional reservation into expectation
and delight when clients grasp our ability to understand their needs.

How easy is it to work with you if I’m interstate or overseas?

Many of my (our) projects are for interstate or international clients. Communications technology makes it easy not only to talk, but also to exchange visuals and virtual mock-ups of the sculpture in development, and how it will look in your location. Where substantial and valuable works are involved, the commissioning process often benefits from an initial face-to-face meeting to cement early agreement on the scope of the project, as well as a site visit during installation.

How can I be confident that a sculpture will look and feel right in my space?

We show you detailed images of our designs and sculptures, and immerse you in a full and engaged understanding of the work you wish to acquire. We also offer a service that digitally overlays your sculpture onto photos of your proposed installation location for an accurate sense of the style and scale of the work in your surroundings.

How do you handle installation of the work?

We take responsibility for advice or actual installation whenever it is required. Smaller to medium sized sculptures usually stand on their own plinth and base. Larger works may require setting foundations or special fixings dependent on its final location. Even if we are not involved in the final installation, we often lend a consultative eye to our client’s contractor.

Do you guarantee safe delivery?

We pay meticulous attention to the handling and transport of your artwork. Our packaging is designed to withstand the most severe conditions, including falls. We also use trusted, specialist couriers. For extra peace of mind, we recommend appropriate transit insurance.

How do you guarantee your quality?

Our sculptures are made using the best processes and grades of materials so they can become legacies for the future. Providing the sculpture’s installation environment is fit for our recommendations, and that our scheduled minor preventive maintenance is upheld, there is no reason why your sculpture will not outlive you and several generations beyond.

What is your refund and return policy?

We’ve yet to receive a refund or return request in 28 years. However, in the event that you are not totally satisfied with a purchase from our range, we offer a full refund, minus packaging and shipping costs, or a credit towards another artwork.

Description

Located in the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the 504-room Lapita Polynesian Hotel recreates the atmosphere of a Pacific Island resort.

Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the hotel design draws inspiration from Polynesian landscapes, flora, cuisine, and traditional crafts; and towards creating a deeply immersive experience for guests, a team of artisans was engaged to produce an array appropriately themed sculptures, fittings, fixtures and furnishings.

So, in addition to the luxury rooms and leisure facilities, an impression of exoticism works to deepen the visitor’s relaxation. One encounters pebbled water features, towering stone sculptures, poolside totems, rattan ceiling fans, carved café furniture, all of which contributes to a feeling of being a million miles away from it all.

Our stable of artisans stand ready to bring your next themed project to life.

Developing Themed Projects—Immersive Polynesian Art for Luxury Hotels

“Developing Themed Projects” highlights how meticulous artistry can recreate entire worlds within luxury hospitality environments. The Lapita Polynesian Hotel in Dubai Parks and Resorts exemplifies this principle by engaging a team of skilled artisans to design and install an array of Polynesian inspired stone sculptures. These exotic hotel stone sculptures are integral to crafting an authentic Pacific Island ambiance, ensuring that every detail—from towering sculptures to carved café furniture—contributes to an all-encompassing guest experience.

Engaging Artisans—Creating an Immersive Polynesian Oasis

At the heart of Lapita Polynesian Hotel’s design is a deep respect for Polynesian culture and aesthetics. The collaboration between Marriott’s Autograph Collection and Mainartery involved sourcing artisans adept in Polynesian art stone sculptures. These artists translated the natural beauty of Polynesian landscapes, flora, and traditional crafts into stone, infusing each piece with cultural significance and artistic excellence. The hotel’s luxury rooms, leisure facilities, and public spaces now feature flora Polynesian stone sculptures that echo the serene environments of the Pacific Islands, providing guests with a sense of being transported to a distant, tranquil paradise.

Every Detail Counts—From Pebbled Water Features to Carved Furniture

The immersive experience at Lapita Polynesian Hotel extends beyond sculptural art to include functional and decorative elements. Pebbled water features mimic the soothing sounds of ocean waves, while poolside totems and rattan ceiling fans blend seamlessly with the overall theme. Each Polynesian inspired stone sculpture plays a role in constructing a cohesive and enchanting atmosphere. For instance, towering stone sculptures serve as focal points in communal areas, inviting guests to admire and relax, while carved café furniture offers comfortable and thematic seating options. This comprehensive approach ensures that every small detail contributes to the holistic Polynesian experience, making the hotel not just a place to stay, but a vibrant cultural escape.

Ultimately, “Developing Themed Projects” demonstrates the power of exotic hotel stone sculptures in transforming spaces into immersive cultural havens. By collaborating with dedicated artisans, luxury brands like Lapita Polynesian Hotel can offer guests an unparalleled blend of comfort, beauty, and cultural authenticity. Whether you’re renovating a boutique hotel or designing a grand resort, Mainartery’s expertise in themed sculptural projects ensures that your vision comes to life with precision and artistic flair. Let us help you create a destination where every guest feels as though they’ve embarked on a genuine Polynesian journey, enveloped in the rich heritage and natural splendor that define this extraordinary region.
